Each Fall is Roundup & Open House time at the Historic Empire Ranch--it's a Western cowboy experience for the whole family! Saturday, October 23, 2010, will be the big day for our 10th Annual Roundup & Open House. The Empire Ranch Roundup & Open House is the Foundation's annual public event celebrating Arizona's Western history and culture. The Roundup also showcases Empire Ranch preservation projects to save the Empire Ranch for future generations to enjoy. General information, and details from our October 2009 Roundup are provided below--2010 will be the best ever. Please check our website in July for additional details on the 2010 event. Experience the life of the cowboy and learn about the ways of the West, featuring:
 | Arena skills, including shooting, cattle handling, ranch dog training, riding and roping events |
| Ranching crafts and skills, including horseshoeing, branding, mule packing, reata making and horsehair rope making, and leather carving |
| Wagon rides and exhibits, Kid's corral, and goat and wagon rides |
| Self-guided tours of the historic ranch house headquarters and expanded Heritage Discovery Trail, and discussions of Empire Ranch preservation |
| Historical presentations, including Western storytellers and Cowboy Conversations. Historical exhibits and displays. |
