Empire Ranch Trail Ride
The Empire Ranch Foundation sponsors annual group Trail Rides, exploring Las Cienegas National Conservation Area on horseback. The 2013 Spring Trail Ride on Saturday, April 6 will offer a four-hour or two-hour ride option. Both rides pass though some of the most spectacular scenery in the state. For those who prefer, scenic wagon rides also will be offered. The rides will be followed by an afternoon of festivities including tours, storytellers, and live music, capped off by a delicious Western steak dinner. As part of the dinner festivities, we'll honor rancher Ian Tomlinson, whose cattle graze Las Cienegas while he works in concert with the BLM, biologists and land management specialists to preserve the lands through innovative grazing, water, and land use methods. Trail ride participants may bring their own horse or reserve one from the Empire Ranch Foundation's horse rental vendor. Experienced and novice riders are welcome! Plan to join us for the trail ride, wagon ride and dinner and entertainment, or just for dinner and entertainment outdoors at the Empire Ranch. Prices, registration forms, and procedures for the 2013 Spring Trail Ride on April 6 are provided below, but are subject to change for future Trail Rides. Date: Saturday,
April 6, 2012
Release of Liability Agreement must be signed prior to riding. Rental horses must be booked through ERF. Riders must be at least eight years old; 8-12 years olds must wear helmets. Click here for map and driving directions to Empire Ranch Headquarters Questions?
