Discover the Empire Ranch through self-guided tours using interpretive information designed for public learning. Explore the Empire Ranch House on your own – each room is interpreted with signage about its historical uses. The information kiosk, located inside the living room of the Victorian Addition, contains information about the history of the Empire Ranch and activities and events sponsored by the Empire Ranch Foundation. Walking Guide brochures are available for use while you are there. Just kindly return copies to the kiosk after you are done.
Free Docent-led Tours of the Ranch House, sponsored by the Empire Ranch Foundation, are held at 11am on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. Meet at the Visitor Contact Station. Tours are free, and open to the public. Advance registration is not required for individuals or groups smaller than 10. Special tours for groups can be scheduled by request. For more information about tours, call the Empire Ranch Foundation at 888-364-2829.
Walk the Heritage Discovery Trail! Enjoy a half-mile interpreted walk under the majestic Cottonwood Grove. See other outlying historic structures, visit the frog research ponds, as you walk through riparian areas of the Empire Gulch. You’ll find the trailhead, adjacent to the public restrooms.
