Members & Volunteers are essential to the Empire Ranch. The Empire Ranch Foundation funds its projects through the support of members, individuals and businesses, through public, corporate and foundation contributions and grants, and through proceeds from special fundraising activities. Volunteers are the principal staff for all our activities.
It takes time, funding and the volunteer efforts of many to protect and preserve the Empire Ranch. You can help with a financial contribution and becoming a member of the Empire Ranch Foundation. Members receive our quarterly newsletter and e-news, and receive special invitations to Member-only events. But most importantly, members share in the important part of preserving the history of the Empire Ranch.

All of the activities the Foundation undertakes are achieved through the efforts of volunteers. Volunteer to help with preservation efforts, educational activities, or fundraising events, or with Foundation administration. Make a difference by volunteering at the Empire Ranch.
We especially need help on our Volunteer Work Days at the ranch held on the third Saturday of February, April, June, August, and October, generally between the hours of 8am and 12 noon. To learn of scheduled Volunteer Days, click here to see our Event Calendar.
Would you like to learn more about the history of the Empire Ranch and share your interest of this historic place with visitors? Consider becoming a docent! Docents attend a six-hour training class at Empire Ranch Headquarters that provides a broad overview of Empire Ranch history, and ranching and western heritage. They are further prepared through a follow-up tour practice session. Docents are asked to give a minimum of two tours annually and may also be asked to assist by giving tours at our larger outreach events such as the annual Cowboy Festival.
